Sun jar is perfect April 15, 2010 H. Irving I found the gentle, light and it's sturdy attractive form great for using in the garden when friends are round and as a replacement night light for frightened of the dark tots (as long as it's out of reach of little fingers) Great buy :0)
Everyone loves them! December 12, 2008 Chloe Baby (essex uk) I bought myself 3! Everyone that I have given them to as gifts loves them!
Used as a toddlers night light. August 12, 2009 M. Pogmore (Huddersfield, UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Sun Jar is is a nice piece of kit, we've had it for about a year now.
We have it sat on our south facing landing window. It works well as a night light for a good couple of hours after sun down. Plus it gets a bit of a charge from the landing light - which is on for about 10 minutes a night.
It helps us to be able to see when our toddler gets restless without putting the main light on, or for creeping around just after we've had the light on and things have settled down again! Its easilly as bright as the B&Q plug top night light.
It works well for us.
A real talking point, I just bought a second one July 10, 2009 Jack the Bear (UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought one of these on the strength of the most positive reviews here and having had it for a couple of weeks now I agree with those reviews. The glow has a rather magical quality which looks great in the garden once it gets really dark.
Like all devices with small solar panels you'll need this thing to be in as much direct sunlight for as long as possible to get it to provide any reasonable charge to its battery. You do have to leave it outside for this as window glass filters UV light (so I'm told) and greatly reduces the charge it can provide to a solar panel.
Ours has been a real talking point when people visit. I've just bought another one to give as a present.

Bought this for my VW-campervan-driving hippy friend and brought instant joy and warmth - great product
