We bought this Carbon Monoxide Detector as I keep reading about how dangerous carbon monoxide fumes can be. So hopefully this will give a first warning if this should happen. The only thing is it recommends to have one on each floor or one on the landing if you only have one. Therefore I have placed this one on the landing, as per instructions. It was very easy to fix and it is good that the green light flashes every 30 seconds to let you know that it is working ok. We have our boiler serviced every year and our gas fire every other year as we do not use it much. If in the slightest doubt it is best to have any appliances checked regularly. This device is very good and could quite possibly save your life. It is highly recommended.

Just bought it recently and regularly test the alarm on week basis. Easy to fit and does not weigh much to fit in its holder. Reason for buying was fear of boiler in my son`s room may be releasing carbon monoxide because since the past 2 years my landlord has not service it, claiming it is a new boiler. But I cant take chances therefore decided to buy the device for carbon detection.

I have a multifuel stove in my sitting room and managed to bust the top of it. I purchased some caulking compound and fire rope and resealed it. I decided for peace of mind that i would purchase a CO detector. The Kidde 9CO-5UK was a great price and does the job perfectly and now I'm not worried about falling asleep on the sofa and never waking up again.

Difficult to review an item when you only know it works correctly, when there is an emergency. However, as regards ordering and receiving there were no problems and it was easily fitted.
