Cracking little chainsaw which helped me fell a 50' tree in my back garden this weekend!!
Great Saw May 30, 2009 Mr. M. Mcbride (Ireland) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is a powerful little saw. I read a lot of reviews for different saws before finally buying this one. Starts easily and cruises through timber. I think the 45cc engine is worth the few extra pounds as you can purchase the same size of saw with less cc's.
Great Breadknife...... August 24, 2010 Tudor I had a Mculloch 335 chainsaw which at the time I thought was brill, due to quite a lot of work over the last five years it has finally given up the ghost. So I have bought the Draper 45574 45cc, why change make and model? Well the Draper has a longer bar, bigger motor, easier to start, cost me a tenner more than the Mculloch (which I thought was good) cuts through trees and british rail sarnie's no problem. Also pretty light on the arms and wrists and some great write up's too. So far it is living up to it's expectations and I am a happy bear
A Good Saw October 2, 2009 D. Taylor (Midlands UK) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a good solid saw with a few nice features such as a de-compression button which makes starting much easier. It's heavier than I expected (thanks to different formats of what's included at the weigh-in) but it cuts brilliantly without any forcing and has the best chain lube system I have seen and a huge capacity for oil which I suppose makes it slightly more expensive to run. I believe this stops hard deposits forming on the teeth which on my previous saw needed to be filed off at frequent intervals; thus I can continue cutting for longer than my previous saw. I've yet to prove this on different woods but so far it seems much better in this regard.
It started easily in spite or reviews to the contrary. All in all a good chain-saw at a reasonable price.
