CARNIVOROUS PLANTS VENUS FLY TRAP January 28, 2010 D. Ellis (wales) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This was given to a very dear friend who has a great interest in this type of indoor plant .I have only now found out that the said present had only TWO seeds init, no comments were made at the time incase she upset me , as this is not in her nature. I do appreciate that there is always the one that got away.Never mind we know where to shop next time.
THANKS FOR LISTENING (AS YOU SAY IT MIGHT HELP THE NEXT SHOPPER)
carnivourous plants-patience is a virtue March 6, 2010 K. taylor (uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this kit is okay, but nothing more than a novelty gift, and no guarantees on the state of the seeds, which i found that there are not many of in the pack. there are some very basic instructions for germinating the seeds, but they're not at all extensive, it doesn't even say what sort of pitcher plant species it contains, so i would suggest that you do some in depth research on growing these plants as there are some vital things that you need to be aware of and how you can do them. i've had some luck with the pitcher plant seed which are sprouting nicely, but so far none of the venus fly trap seeds have germinated, though admitedly, these plants are extremely slow growing and can take several years to grow to full size, but who knows, they still might with a bit of luck. if there's one thing these plants need, it's patience, otherwize buying a grown plant in a pot is a better option.
waste of money! April 29, 2010 D. P. Crabbe (uk) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
barely enough seeds for all 5 pots and after 6 weeks still waiting for them to germinate! Buy a big pack of seeds from somewhere else! Works out much cheaper and you're more likely to get seedlings.
NO SEEDS!! June 21, 2010 John A. Kennedy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Could not believe that this gift i bought had no seeds in it at all. So basically it is worthless after me paying for it. Total rubbish!
No grow May 18, 2010 Rebecca Mitchell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I planted mine 2 months ago and I'm still waiting for any growth. Obviously not every seed germinates but to only provide 5 means the chances are remarkably slim, a waste of money.
