I bought a glow brick earlier this year and I am very happy with my purchase. The product is called a glow brick and so was not expecting a bright light so was more than happy with the glow that it gives off when the room goes dark in the evening.
This product seems well made and has a nice weight to it.
I use mine as a bookend and find it's a great talking point when friends come over. I'm thinking about getting a blue one too for the other end of the shelf.

This product gives a great subtle glow perfect for a night light! It isn't a light so doesn't shine but the material inside is like those glow in the dark stars you had as a kid- they absorb light and glow in the dark. A great looking product day and night!

Not really what I was expecting, as others have said I've yet to see it glow the way it does in photographs, but I didn't send it back! The sellers do describe a 'subtle' glow, which catches my eye everytime I turn the lights out. Not enough to read by or really do anything with, but it defnitely adds to the atmosphere in a room rather than detracting from it. If you are looking for a night light, or anything to use to see with in the dark - this isn't it. But if want a cool, well made ambient glowy thing then look no further!
It also combines the unusual properties of being really quite heavy, with glowing in the dark. So if anyone *does* break into your house at night you can always find something to run after them with. You will look ridiculous though.

When i first saw the advertisment picture for this lamp product i thought this is the type of thing i need for my bedroom, nice lamp with a everescent green lighting effect, so i ordered it.
Once out of the box i put it on the window sill so it could absorb as much sunlight as possible, when dark came
it was completely USELESS !!! it glowed a very weak yellowy green if that!!.
THIS IS JUST ILLUMINOUS PAINT INSIDE A GLASS CUBE.....DONT NOT BUY AND WASTE YOUR MONEY !!

The picture with the nice bright light is *ahem* rather flattering!
In reality there is a lump of green plastic in the centre of a rather patched together peice of clear plastic.
Perhaps if you could charge it up a few hundred miles from the Sun and then pop in your room it would look good - if you don't own a spaceship and some very thick oven gloves - like me - your are likely to be disaapointed.
